What to Wear on a Bahamas Vacation

Don’t stress out over packing for a Bahamas vacation. The islands of The Bahamas have a laid back, breezy style. Save some room in your suitcase for bringing home the great fashion finds and souvenirs you pick up on your trip. Here are the necessities you’ll need to bring along:

Bathing Suits: Bring at least two bathing suits. If you’re staying for a week or so on your Bahamas vacation, consider bringing three. This way you’ll always have a dry one and you can rotate. Don’t forget a cover up. Men should have plenty of casual shirts to throw on when heading out to the beach.
Resort Wear: Whether you’re staying at a mega-resort or a bed and breakfast, you’ll need some comfortable resort wear. Think light fabrics, fun prints and sandals. For women, an airy skirt makes a great piece to dress up or down. Don’t forget hats for simple sun protection.
Evening Wear: Pack something fun and flirty to wear for nights out on the town. The Bahamas has a great nightlife scene. Be aware of any potential dress codes for upscale restaurants, casinos or nightclubs. Leave cocktail dresses and formal wear at home.
